Dr. Downey & Ashanti McCarthy

My day with Dr. Downey was the most rewarding day. I may not have been able to witness a c-section, but Dr. Downey was kind enough to allow me to shadow him at his office for an entire day. I was able to get up close and personal with my career choice and I can honestly say that because of this experience I am most certain that this is the career choice for me. I want to give a special thanks to Dr. Downey for his insight on what I need to do to be successful in the future. Thank you Dr. Downey, you have been a great help in my choice and I hope I can shadow you again.

Thanks to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Dallas I was able to apply what I learned in school to real life scenarios. I learned how technology has been getting more involved and making more time consuming processes quicker and faster. The education that is needed is more than what I expected. The most important lesson I gained from this experience was that everyone should be treated with care and respect.

The experience at Sewell Lexus was great! I was able to experience a real, working environment of an industry that I have had a passion for since I was young. I met with people who have been in this industry for many years.They have worked hard and been rewarded for their efforts. They were very nice and welcoming to me.

Their facility was immaculate with nothing out of place. It was like love at first sight. Everything is kept neatly and well maintained. They have beautiful tile flooring that is not found in your most common shops. However it is kept clean to the last tile. I mean come on! They even have their customer’s car lot organized! I really enjoyed my experience at Sewell Lexus and greatly appreciate the time they devoted to me.
